At the moment, the hype surrounding decentralized financial markets (DeFi) seems unstoppable. Accordingly, more and more DeFi projects are gaining popularity among investors. One of those big DeFi projects is Aave. The name itself is derived from Finnish and means something like “spirit”. But what exactly is Aave? Where can you buy Aave? What are the forecasts? We will deal with these questions in this article.
Aave (AAVE) was launched in December 2017 under the name ETHlend (LEND). In October 2020, LEND integrated into AAVE and is, therefore, a new cryptocurrency. Accordingly, the currency is not yet widely spread in the market. However, the cryptocurrency is becoming more and more popular; accordingly, many crypto brokers are now following suit to offer Aave. The following points should be considered when buying Aave so that nothing goes wrong:
We now explain how to buy Aave. We use the broker Roinvesting for this, as it offers the advantage that you can trade both real cryptocurrencies and CFDs – Roinvesting combines the advantages of a broker and those of a crypto exchange.
Note: Aave is currently not available from any crypto broker as it is a relatively new cryptocurrency. However, since the price has risen extremely in the last few months and the demand is correspondingly high, we are sure that Roinvesting will soon add Aave to its range. Once that’s done, you can buy Aave on Roinvesting using our guide.
First, you have to register with Roinvesting. To do this, click on the following link to get to the registration form:
Then enter your username, email and password in the form and accept the terms and conditions:
You will then receive an email for verification, in which you simply click on the link to confirm the email address.
In the next step, you have to top up your account with money to buy Aave in the future. To do this, click on the “Deposit money” button on Roinvesting :
Then you choose the amount and payment method with which you want to deposit, and then click on the “Send” button to deposit the amount.
In our example, we show the purchase with a credit card. Roinvesting also offers other deposit options :
|Aave buy with credit card||✔️|
|Aave buy with PayPal||✔️|
|Buy aave with Rapid Transfer||✔️|
|Buy aave with Skrill||✔️|
|Aave buy with bank transfer||✔️|
|Buy aave with Neteller||✔️|
|Buy aave with UnionPay||✔️|
As soon as you have topped up your account on Roinvesting, you can already buy Aave. To do this, we click in the search field above and enter “Aave” there. Then we click on the “Trade” button.
The purchase window then opens. Here you have the following options:
After configuring all options, you click on the “Open Trade” button to complete the purchase.
Your purchase of Aave is now complete!
Aave (AAVE) is a decentralised liquidity market protocol. Especially in the last few weeks and months, there has been hot discussion about decentralised cryptocurrencies, and accordingly, Aave has now also moved into the spotlight. The cryptocurrency had its ICO in 2018 but has only become more popular in the last few months.
Aave has set itself the goal of creating a transparent and open infrastructure for (decentralised) finances. The Aave protocol was launched in 2017, but at that time, it was still called ETHlend (LEND). Aave later became the parent company, and ETHlend was dissolved in January 2020. Finally, at the end of October 2020, the abbreviation LEND was integrated into AAVE and launched.
In short, Aave is a DeFi protocol that allows users to borrow or borrow money. The primary protocol here is the Aave protocol, which is entirely open-source. The protocol was introduced in January 2020 and acted as a kind of lending. By creating pools, users can make their markets on the Ethereum Blockchain, in which one can use the possibilities of the Aave protocol.
Thus, the Aave project is a decentralised financial services project where liquidity is made available by users. The users put the coins in a credit pool so that you can earn interest. On the other hand, other users can obtain instant loans through this liquidity.
With cryptocurrencies, as with other financial instruments, you have the option of buying real coins or in the form of CFDs. Of course, you will not buy the cryptocurrency yourself, but you can rely on the price trend.
After all, CFDs are independent financial products that use specific underlying values only as a price measure. Theoretically, you acquire a right to buy or sell the asset with these contracts for difference. As a result, the resulting gap between purchase and sales prices is wiped out as profit or loss. Thus, an Aave CFD is an all-or-nothing business.
With Crypto CFD Broker, you can trade cryptocurrencies without actually owning them. This is advantageous because you don’t have to worry about storing it with a crypto wallet.
At this point, we have to repeat the recommendation for our test winner broker Roinvesting: With Roinvesting, it is possible to trade Crypto CFDs with leverage and buy real cryptocurrencies and store them in the integrated Roinvesting wallet. In addition, with Roinvesting, you have an integrated wallet with you – so if you want to buy real coins, you don’t have to worry about it.
Aave is not currently available on Roinvesting. Due to the high popularity, we assume that the coins will be available soon. The fee table should therefore show how much costs will be incurred when buying Aave as more quickly as the cryptocurrency is added to the range at Roinvesting:
With these assumptions, we now go through the fees of the largest providers:
|Purchase fees||Free||1.49%||3.08% *|
|Holding fees||Free||for free||0.05% *|
|Sales charges||Spreads||1.49%||3.08% *|
|Total fees||Reasonable||€ 68.24||€ 92.32|
The Aave protocol was launched in 2017, but at that time, it was still called ETHlend. Aave later became the parent company, and ETHlend was dissolved in January 2020. So ETHlend is being renamed Aave – the AAVE tokens have only been available for trading on the stock exchanges since the 3rd quarter of 2020.
The current rate (as of February 12, 2021) is USD 511.57 (EUR 426.62) – and the trend is rising.
In general, a wallet is always the safest place to store cryptocurrencies. If the coins and tokens are instead on an exchange, you may lose access to them – for example, in the event of a hack attack or the event of bankruptcy.
Using a wallet is not necessarily more complicated than using the common stock exchange platforms. A wallet is therefore recommended in any case.
However, the use of a wallet is not mandatory for trading with Aave. Since Aave is currently in great demand and is becoming increasingly popular, the coins will likely also be available via Roinvesting soon. You have the advantage that you don’t need your wallet, as this is already integrated into Roinvesting. You can also download the Roinvesting Wallet, which allows you to send and receive cryptocurrencies and exchange them for FIAT money.
However, if you are interested in a wallet, you can get more information about wallets in our crypto wallet comparison. However, if you want to invest in Aave CFDs instead of buying the coins, you don’t need a wallet.
Paypal, unfortunately, plays only on the exchanges very minor role, which is related to the warranty conditions of the company. Therefore, many brokers do not use PayPal, although it is one of the most convenient payment methods. For example, PayPal only incurs fees if you top up your PayPal account using your credit card instead of SEPA or an instant transfer. Then a flat rate of € 0.35 transfer costs and 1.9% fees on the amount sent is suggested.
PayPal offers one of the easiest payment methods on the internet and not only that: also one of the cheapest. PayPal, on the other hand, is available as a means of payment at Roinvesting. So as soon as Aave has been added to the Roinvesting range, you can conveniently pay into your customer account with PayPal to either buy Aave or invest in Aave CFDs.
It is currently not possible to purchase Aave’s tokens via crypto exchanges. However, due to the increasing popularity of DeFi projects, we assume that most brokers will be offering Aave soon. However, if you want to deal with other cryptocurrencies in the meantime, there are quite a few to choose from. Here are some of our alternatives:
If you want to invest in cryptocurrencies, you are, of course, spoiled for choice. The most popular alternatives to Aave are:
Another alternative is crypto stocks: chip manufacturers, mining companies and even the Bitcoin Group have posted strong profits. So if you don’t just want to trade in cryptocurrencies, you can also benefit from stocks. And if you’re going to diversify your portfolio and trade in cryptocurrencies and stocks, you can do this easily via Roinvesting.
Whether you want to hold Aave for the long term or trade for the short term depends on your trading strategies. However, Aave is essentially a crypto loan. Therefore, most traders invest in Aave for the long term, as you get interest rates for lending when you offer your tokens.
In principle, Aave works like a bank that lends loans. You change your FIAT money into tokens and offer this for lending. If you do this, you are essentially a lender. Traders who make use of the tokens are, in turn, borrowers. However, they have to deposit more than they borrow. Should there be price fluctuations, the “lender” can either dissolve the position, or it will be automatically liquidated.
Aave is a relatively young cryptocurrency that is currently hardly offered for trading by any providers. Alternatively, you can already get information about cryptocurrency on the official website. Anyone who wants to act as a “lender” or “borrower” of the tokens can access directly via the Aave platform.
However, if you want to trade with the coins or speculate on their price development, we strongly recommend a safe and intuitive crypto exchange. And here you should pay particular attention to the conditions.
In our large crypto exchange comparison, we could already determine a clear test winner: Roinvesting. Roinvesting offers a modern platform for beginners and advanced users, an in-house app and an integrated wallet. So if you don’t want to buy an additional wallet or set up yourself, you are best off with Roinvesting.
Aave is a DeFi project that deals with tokens called AAVE. These are managed in the Ethereum network. Since Aave is a digital currency, you can not buy it offline. To buy Aave, you need a good crypto exchange and, if you want to be on the safe side, a wallet. However, the currency must be purchased with an existing internet connection. However, if you’re going to keep the currency offline, you can buy a hardware wallet.
In the early days of cryptocurrencies, it was still possible to purchase coins anonymously. But only with detours. In the meantime, it is no longer that easy to allow real anonymity to prevail when buying cryptocurrencies. If you take a closer look, you have to say goodbye to anonymous buying.
There are only really serious platforms that allow the purchase of cryptos that ask for user data. You are already in grey areas if you get to a trading platform that doesn’t do this. But then you can quickly get caught up in a fraudster and get rid of your cash but have not received any AAVE. So in this respect, one should pay attention to priorities.
We recommend the safe and reputable AAVE purchase from the online broker Roinvesting instead of 100% anonymity. The lack of anonymity ensures security for everyone involved.
If you want to trade with cryptocurrencies, you can not avoid verification at a crypto exchange. This is for your protection and also for the protection of the exchange and those involved. After all, you want to trade with real people who have been verified. When you register on Roinvesting, verification is quick and easy.
If you want to buy Aave, the easiest way to do this is with a crypto broker. This means that you don’t have to worry about tokens or smart contracts. In any case, however, registration is necessary. This offers protection and security at the same time for investors and the stock market. Aave is not yet tradable with our test winner Roinvesting, but we assume it will soon be added to the range. So you can either buy real coins or bet on their price development (using CFD trading).
As soon as Aave can be found in the Roinvesting range, you can simply buy and sell the cryptocurrency there. The steps here are similar to those for buying cryptocurrency.
The first step is to log into the Roinvesting customer account as usual. You can do this either via the computer or via the smartphone or tablet. You can also log in via the app to sell Aave. So you have different options.
The next step is to click on your portfolio. There you can find all the assets that you have invested in on Roinvesting.
As soon as you have clicked on the portfolio, you get a list of all financial instruments. There you look for Aave and then click on Sell on the right-hand side.
As soon as you have clicked on Sell, a window appears again when buying the cryptocurrency. Here you can still decide between order and trade. Then you are the amount, and then click Open Trade or order placing. In addition, you can make other settings, such as the amount at which the position is automatically closed.
Aave is one of the most popular DeFi projects out there right now. With the direct access to banks and the corresponding lending idea, Aave is becoming more and more popular with users. Even if the cryptocurrency has been around since 2017, it has only been traded on the markets since October 2020. This is a new cryptocurrency that has not yet been traded on a crypto exchange.
However, due to the rapidly increasing price and the high popularity, we are convinced that Aave will soon be available from our test winner Roinvesting. An investment would be worthwhile; the project itself is promising and very well received by users. The price has risen enormously since the end of January – the upward trend has so far been unstoppable.
As soon as Aave is available at Roinvesting, an investment could be worthwhile. Roinvesting is our test winner of the crypto exchanges and can score points above all with low fees, an in-house app, and the social trading function.
The real Aave purchase works either via the platform itself or soon via crypto exchanges such as eToro. Only here can you get real coins. If you only want to devote yourself to trading and have little interest in actual tokens, CFD crypto brokers such as our test winner are also suitable.
Brokers allow you to trade the values through CFDs or options. On an exchange, you exchange currencies with other market participants. In order to be able to decide on a provider, Secured Brokers has put together important assistance by comparing the best crypto exchanges.
The last time the Aave price rose by 300% was in January. Due to the high popularity of DeFi projects, the upward trend is currently unstoppable. Further increases in value cannot be ruled out.
This should be considered in advance when choosing a digital wallet. Not all wallets support multiple cryptocurrencies. Certain platforms already offer an online wallet in their offer. But there are also very secure hardware wallets that support both Bitcoin and Aave.
