The cryptocurrency Litecoin (LTC) is confusingly similar to Bitcoin: Litecoin also wants to establish itself as a means of payment, manages all transactions via a peer-to-peer network and uses blockchain technology.

Now that we have topped up our account, we can begin the actual LTC purchase. To do this, we click into the search field above and enter “IOTA” there.

A further distinction between Litecoin and Bitcoin consists in measures that Litecoin, a centralization of the mining, prevents attempts.
For this purpose, the Altcoin (for the meaning, see Buying Altcoins ) relies on a function that is supposed to facilitate mining with commercially available hardware (especially GPUs). Nevertheless, there have been ASIC-based miners for a long time that achieve hash rates comparable to GPUs – but with a fraction of the power consumption.
Litecoin was released in October 2011 by developer and former Google employee Charlie Lee. In terms of market capitalization , Litecoin is the eighth largest cryptocurrency on the market at around $ 1.8 billion in December 2018 .
In May 2017 Litecoin implemented the first cryptocurrency, the update Segregated Witness (short: SegWit), which was originally designed to address weaknesses in the Bitcoin source code. SegWit also increases the scalability of blocks in the Bitcoin or Litecoin blockchain.
Shortly afterwards, the first crypto transaction was carried out with Litecoin via the Lightning Network: 0.00000001 LTC were transferred from Zurich to San Francisco – in less than a second.

The Litecoin Buy without verification is possible with Binance.
Now transfer a BTC amount from your Bitcoin wallet or another exchange account to Binance. To transfer your Bitcoin, click on Binance in the header on Funds> Deposits and select Bitcoin. You will then be shown a public key address to which you can deposit your coins. This is the address to which you send the bitcoins that you want to exchange for Litecoin. Waiting times of 30 minutes and more are not uncommon at Binance at this point. You can track the progress of your transfer under order management> order history.
Tip: We advise you to transfer only a test amount first before sending large sums to Binance. This is how you can make sure that everything is working as intended.
After your transfer has been received by Binance, you can now exchange your Bitcoin for Litecoin. To do this, click on Exchange> Basic in the header.
Then click on BTC in the upper right corner and select the currency pair BTC / LTC from the list to exchange your Bitcoin for Litecoin. If you’ve done everything right, Litecoin (LTC) will now appear at the bottom above the “Buy – Sell” box.
To buy Litecoin, you have to pay with BTC. Enter the desired Litecoin amount (LTC) in the purchase mask.
Now you can, if you want, determine the price at which you want to buy your Litecoin. To do this, select “Limit” via the input mask and enter your desired price. Then click on the green “Buy” field. As soon as the market value you set is reached, your Bitcoin (BTC) will automatically be exchanged for Litecoin.
Instead of your own, you can also use the current market price. To do this, click on “Market” next to it instead of on “Limit” and then on the green “Buy” field. Your Litecoin should then appear in your balance as soon as possible.
Tip 1: Buying Litecoin at Binance is particularly cheap: Binance charges a small fee for trading between different cryptocurrencies . If you purchase Binance’s own currency BNB in small quantities and activate the “Pay transaction fees in BNB ” field in your profile, Binance will grant you a 25% discount on these fees.
Tip 2: To exchange your Litecoin for Bitcoin again, simply follow steps 1-3 again and this time uses the “Sell” input mask instead of the “Buy” box.

Buy & Sell Litecoin
We first assume that you’re not yet fully verified to have an account of the stage 1 verfügst. At the top of the page header, click Buy and select Litecoin.
