Buy Tezos: Only a few exchanges are available if you want to start trading the cryptocurrency Tezos. Which one is right for you also depends on how much you invest. Like Ethereum, the platform offers a development environment in which companies or private individuals can implement their token-based business models without developing a blockchain themselves. Tezos uses a Delegated Proof-of-Work-Algorithm (DPoS), enabling stakeholders to influence the platform’s further development and be rewarded for validating transactions in the network. For example, the stakeholders can choose to pay individuals or groups to work on the Tezos Protocol. In this way, Tezos promises, the ecosystem should optimise and develop on its own.
Tezos was officially launched in September 2018 after the company raised a record $ 232 million in an ICO. The cryptocurrency development was initiated in 2014 by the founders Arthur and Kathleen Breitman with a core group of developers. The Tezos Foundation, headed by Ryan Jesperson, is primarily responsible for asset management and further developing the protocol and the Tezos ecosystem.
The rights to the source code are owned by the founding company Dynamic Ledger Solutions, whose managing directors are Kathleen and Arthur Breitman. The DLS company has its main headquarters in Switzerland.
After the ICO, there were upheavals at Tezos between the founding company DLS and the Tezos Foundation. The Tezos course then collapsed for a short time. However, after the then President of the Foundation, Johann Gevers, finally left the company due to the dispute (and received a severance payment of $ 400,000), the problems subsided, and the development of the Tezos ecosystem advanced. Do you need a wallet to trade with Tezos? Not necessarily. For example, on ETFinance, it is possible to keep Tezos on your account.
